Progress and future outlook in minimally invasive orthopedic surgery.
Main Article Content
Abstract
Minimally invasive orthopedic surgery (MIOS) has significantly transformed the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders by reducing surgical trauma, minimizing postoperative pain, shortening hospital stays, and accelerating functional recovery. Continuous advances in arthroscopic techniques, robotic-assisted surgery, computer navigation, artificial intelligence (AI), regenerative medicine, and three-dimensional (3D) technologies have expanded the possibilities of modern orthopedic practice. These innovations allow surgeons to perform highly precise procedures while preserving healthy tissues and improving long-term clinical outcomes. This review summarizes the recent progress in minimally invasive orthopedic surgery and discusses future technological developments that are expected to reshape orthopedic care.
